Build & Release Management:
Build & Release Management is the last and probably the most
critical phase of software development life cycle in which the
source code/ binaries/ SPROCS are deployed to production
environment. This phase involves heavy interaction between
various cross functional areas such as Project Management,
Development, Quality Assurance and Business Analysis.
The change requests and enhancements are prioritized in the
change control board (CCB) meeting and in this phase the
source code is frozen and handed over to the Build Coordinator
to initiate the deployment process.
